![]() For now here is the mod though and you should only try this fix if you know and have the issue with the grass on Dantooine. I want to draw your attention to the fact I don't have screenshots of the original issue, but I'm showing how the fast grass setting looks here (just looks slightly shorter to me, if anything). ![]() Screenshots have now been included as of revision 1.01. The other presets are unaffected because that option is already enabled for them, but many of you will of course want to be able to switch to the 'high' graphics preset. What it does is make sure 'fast grass' is turned on for the 'high' graphical preset. If you suffer from this problem then you can try this mod as an alternative to disabling grass completely whilst you play through Dantooine. Actually it's not a real fix as only the game developers can do that but you can try this mod to work around the issue. I had suffered from this issue myself and managed to find this 'fix' to the problem. I believe you shouldn't have this problem with the latest versions of the game, but I'm making this available anyway. This mod provides a work-around for those experiencing a problem with the grass on Dantooine where it looks as though the grass is floating from the surface of the plains, and becomes glitchy.

Apparently Pratt has done a bit of research on firearms, and he concluded the 45-70 rifle which Owen uses in the film would be the character's preferred weapon of choice, and the one most likely for him to have on hand during a crisis situation like the one the characters of Jurassic World find themselves trapped in. When a fan on Twitter said the gun Chris Pratt was using in Jurassic World was simply not big enough to stop the Indominus Rex, the film's primary source of danger, the actor chimed it and explained why this was the case. Pratt, Howard, and Pratt's prize velociraptor Blue all reprised their roles for the sequel, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and a third Jurassic World film is reported to be starting production in early 2020.Īlthough Fallen Kingdom's first half generally acted as a rebooted version of Jurassic Park: The Lost Worldin the same way the first Jurassic World film rehashed many of the plot points from Jurassic Park, the second half went-all out on its dinosaur/cloning action and surprised fans with unexpected twists and a finale which completely changed how the film's universe operates. It's a topic of contention, at least for a few Project members, as to if Muldoon's sling at the begininng of the film is dark green or black. In most languages except English, additional letters (some with diacritics) are required and some are present as standard on each national keyboard, as appropriate for its national language. The Latin alphabet keyboard has a dedicated key for each of the letters A–Z, keys for punctuation and other symbols, usually a row of function keys, often a numeric keypad and some system control keys. The ⇧ Shift key is also used to type the upper of two symbols engraved on a given key, the lower being typed without using the modifier key. ![]() To facilitate this, modifier keys usually come in pairs, one functionally identical key for each hand, so holding a modifier key with one hand leaves the other hand free to strike another key.Īn alphanumeric key labelled with only a single letter (usually the capital form) can generally be struck to type either a lower case or capital letter, the latter requiring the simultaneous holding of the ⇧ Shift key. Typically, a modifier key is held down while another key is struck. (Apple keyboards have differently labelled but equivalent keys, see below). For example, the ⇧ Shift key can be used to alter the output of character keys, whereas the Ctrl ( control), Alt ( alternate) and AltGr ( alternative graphic) keys trigger special operations when used in concert with other keys. The core section of a keyboard consists of character keys, which can be used to type letters and other characters. However, differences between national layouts are mostly due to different selections and placements of symbols on the character keys. There is some variation between different keyboard models in the physical layout-i.e., how many keys there are and how they are positioned on the keyboard.
![]() You must also be super-suspicious about emails, and never click unsolicited attachments. However, no security software is foolproof, and it won’t patch your unpatched operating system. Running good anti-virus software and a firewall should help minimise the risk, so it may be worth paying for something like Kaspersky Total Security. But, sooner or later, your bank will decide that it’s too risky to deal with people who have vulnerable computers, and prevent you from logging on. Sources of free, pirated or “adult” stuff are generally less so. ![]() Major name-brand websites should be reasonably safe, including your bank’s. If you can’t avoid malware completely, try to avoid untrusted or insecure websites. Fortunately, the main browser suppliers will keep updating them, and Google has said: “We will continue to fully support Chrome on Windows 7 for a minimum of 18 months from Microsoft’s end of life date, until at least 15 July 2021.”Įventually, however, they’ll stop testing their browsers on Windows 7 because it’s expensive and will only serve a shrinking number of users. While you can’t patch Windows 7, you can make sure your other software is patched. The first is basically impossible in a world where malware can be served via advertisements (“malvertising”) even on respectable websites. The core advice boils down to this: avoid coming into contact with any malware, and make sure you have nothing to lose. It’s aimed mainly at government departments and businesses, and isn’t specific to Windows 7. The NCSC’s website suggests some “ short-term steps to take when you can’t move off out-of-date platforms and applications straight away”. Photograph: Bloomberg/Bloomberg via Getty Images Making sure your browser is up to date is one of the most important steps you can take. The British government’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) told the BBC: “We would urge those using the software after the deadline to replace unsupported devices as soon as possible, to move sensitive data to a supported device and not to use them for tasks like accessing bank and other sensitive accounts.” That’s good advice. In this case, as with XP, there could be millions of relatively easy targets. Malware writers don’t normally target out-of-date operating systems, because they don’t usually have many users. As a result, some of the security holes in Windows 10 will also be present in Windows 7, but they won’t be patched. A lot of the code in Windows 10 goes back to Windows 7 and earlier versions. The malware industry analyses these patches to find the holes, and then looks for ways to exploit them. On the second Tuesday of every month, Microsoft releases security patches that should be installed automatically by Windows Update. There are reasons to be fearful, because of the way the malware industry works. It was so bad that Microsoft released a patch for XP, even though it was out of support. We saw how dangerous that can be when WannaCry took over unpatched PCs in the NHS and other places. Users will therefore be more vulnerable to malware attacks, particularly from “ ransomware”. To begin with, Windows 7 will not stop working, it will just stop receiving security updates. Despite Microsoft’s repeated warnings to Windows 7 users, there may still be a couple of hundred million users, many of them in businesses. Microsoft Windows 7 – launched in 2009 – came to the end of its supported life on Tuesday. If I do stay with Windows 7, what should I worry about, and how can I protect myself? I have been running Kaspersky Total Security for several years, which has worked well so far. I’m a widow and can’t afford to run out and get a new PC at this time, or pay for Windows 10. I do a lot of work on a Windows 7 desktop PC that is about five years old. |
